Is Restoro Safe To Use? A Personal Story

Is Restoro Safe? Is It Legit? My First Person Account

Q: Is Restoro Safe?

A: Yes.  I have personally used Restoro on my own computer to help me remove the remnants of a worm that had infected my PC and threatened the loss of a video editing project.  Restoro is a useful tool to not only remove malware but to speed and tune up your computer as well.

I’ve been getting a lot of emails from readers curious about the Restoro software tool and whether or not it’s a legitimate, safe program to use.  And these are good questions – it’s always good to do your due diligence in terms of programs such as these.  However I’ve found that Restoro is pretty good at what it promises to do and it can help you out quite a bit.

Of course, the results will hinge upon what exactly you’re trying to fix with Restoro.  But, if your issues fall within the parameters of what Restoro is designed to fix you could end up saving yourself a lot of time as well as potential data.

My Experience Using Restoro

So, why do I recommend it?  To give you a very simple answer: I used Restoro to resurrect my Windows computer from a major malware infection that could have cost me a lot of money and time.  As I wrote in the Restoro review that I posted recently, the computer that I edited videos with was corrupted by the W32/SillyFDC-BK worm which crippled the operating system.  Even when Norton 360 said it had removed the worm, it would come back again and freeze the computer within seconds of boot.

The worst part was that I was on a deadline to finish this video project and I was in a bind.  I did not have my project backed up (bad move and a learning lesson for sure) and I had no way to finish the project.  My last ditch effort was to run Restoro and rebuild the corrupted files in the Windows operating system.

I tried Restoro as a hail Mary last ditch effort to save my work.  The process took a bit of time however it worked well and I was able to finish my video project on time.  It saved me a ton of lost work.

The only issues with Restoro that I had were that it seemed to cause Windows Updates to run quite a bit when I would turn off my computer.  Eventually, this went away.  I can only think it was because it replaced certain files in Windows with the older versions, and Windows had to periodically update certain files.  Also, a computer repaired from such a bad issue with Restoro may not be as clean and fast as a brand-new installation of Windows, but that would be asking a lot from the software.  Sure, nothing beats a clean install of Windows, but some people simply do not have the time or the ability to do that.

What Restoro Can and Can’t Help With

Before you buy Restoro, it’s important to consider whether or not the issue that you’re having with your computer is something that is fixable with the tool.

Restoro cannot repair corrupt software programs such as Photoshop or Firefox (although, if the issue that you’re having with one of your software programs is related to a corrupt Windows installation, it could potentially help).  Restoro also cannot fix hardware problems – if you have an issue with your video card or hard drive then Restoro is not going to work.  And although Restoro can remove malware, it does not prevent malware from being installed – you’ll have to get a program like Malwarebytes for that.

However, Restoro CAN help you with issues with your Windows installation – t can repair the damage a virus or malware does to Windows, and mysterious problems with Windows such as crashes, freezes, blue screens of death, and more.

What Restoro Can Help With:

  • Repeated Windows errors
  • OS corruption and damage after a virus or malware infection
  • Problems of unknown origin such as repeated freezes and crashes
  • DLL file corruption or deletion
  • Blue Screen Of Death issues

What Restoro Cannot Help With:

  • Third party software problems such as problems with Adobe or Firefox (however, if the reason the software won’t run is with a Windows error, then Restoro may help)
  • Problems with hardware such as video card or hard drive issues
  • Will not block viruses or malware from getting on your computer – it will only remove

Overall

Overall I believe that Restoro is an excellent tool at what it does – it has the ability to save you from some pretty dire Windows issues – as I found out myself.  You can also download the program and run it for free to see if it finds any issues.  You only have to buy the software if you want it to run the fixes.

My recommendation – download it and give it a try.  If it finds something on the scan, it may be worth considering.
